PRODUCT CARE

VISCOSE/RAYON

Halfway between silk and cotton, viscose and rayon blends are soft, silky and aerial! The only hitch is, that we do not always know how to take care of it. Here are some tips:

  • Hand Washing: Viscose is a highly absorbent fabric, relatively inelastic and therefore very delicate especially when wet. This is why we recommend you hand washing, with cold or lukewarm water (maximum 20° C) rather than machine washing. To remove stains on viscose, you can carefully rub the stained area with a mild detergent for a few minutes to not damage the material.

If you choose to use a washing machine instead of hand washing, select the delicate cycle or « Hand wash » program and put the clothes in a wash bag, to not damage the material especially by rubbing against the drum.

Last advice, wash your garment on the reverse side in order to preserve the colors and brightness !
  • Drying: Opt for natural drying. When viscose is wet, it is more rigid and less soft. Once dry, it will recover its original shape. Do not put in the dryer, it is better to allow the viscose garment to air dry flat, on a hanger. Beforehand, you can lightly wring it with a towel. And be careful, viscose can be damaged by excessive wringing and twisting.
  • Ironing: Last step, the ironing. It is only during this step that the viscose garment will recover its original size, shape and lightness.
Viscose should be ironed on the reverse side when it is still slightly wet. We recommand you to select the program « Silk » or the iron at one dot (110°C). And for more precaution, you can use a damp cloth or light clean cotton fabric between the iron and garment. Alternatively you can use a steamer!

LINEN/RAYON

Our linen blend is 55% linen / 45% rayon. For our linen blend garments, we recommend a gentle cold hand wash separately with mild detergent, hung to dry in the shade. Linen viscose blend fabric will contract when washed, but the fabric will relax and return to its original shape with a warm iron with plenty of steam.

SILK ORGANZA

Hand wash organza garments seperately in cold water with a gentle detergent to avoid damage.

  • Do not bleach: Organza fabric can be damaged by bleach. Avoid using bleach or any detergent containing bleach.
  • Rinse thoroughly: After washing, rinse the organza garment thoroughly to remove all soap residues.
  • Drying: Best to naturally dry on a hanger avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Ironing:  We recommand you to select the program « Silk » or the iron at one dot (110°C). And use a use a slightly damp cloth or light clean cotton fabric between the iron and garment. Alternatively you can use a steamer!
