The Zanzibar print was created using a meticulous hand-painted layering technique. The process began by mapping out the pattern with painter’s tape directly onto canvas, then applying multiple layers of colour to build depth and texture. Once dried, each strip of tape was carefully removed to reveal sharp, organic lines and unexpected gradients beneath — a play between control and spontaneity.
